Day at the Park

Saturday was such a beautiful day.  Jim and I had to run errands and go to an Expo we were interested in checking out.  Of course as the day progressed we realized that we were gone much longer than expected, so when we got home I took the kids to the park.  It was a perfect day for the park and the kids had a blast.  Here are a few pictures from our trip to the park.

Kaitlyn's Hobby - Origami

I love that my children's hobbies include things that they make or build or do.  Kaitlyn is my artistic child and she loves anything having to do with arts and crafts.  Her latest hobby has been origami and I love seeing her creations.  I thought you might enjoy them too.

Haircut

A couple of days ago I decided to give Kyle his first haircut.  The back of his hair was getting a little long and so I was just going to trim the back only.  I decided to use the largest guide comb so not to cut too much at one time because I wasn't really sure how short I wanted the final result to be.  Well, I'm glad I went with the largest size due to the fact that he did not cooperate with me and did not enjoy having his hair cut at all.  I had Josiah hold Kyle in his lap and he still did not like it, even though he did laugh a little because the razor tickled his head. With that being said, it is obvious that I wasn't going to press the issue and try to go shorter.

So, my final result is a haircut that you can't really tell ever happened.  Below are the before and after pictures.

Tuesday's Tip - Designer Bath Tissue Holder

Here is a really great idea that I haven't tried yet but as soon as I can get some scrapbook paper I'm going to try it.  I already have my empty oatmeal canister ready.  I think it's a great idea.  What do you think?  Are you going to try it as well?  Let me know.

Here's the link for instructions.  http://www.couponing101.com/daily-frugal-tip-diy-designer-bath-tissue-holder/.

P.S. In case you haven't noticed I love couponing 101's DIY projects :)
